DESIGNERS / NEJLA GÜVENÇ
Working as a designer in the fashion industry for many years, Nejla Güvenç, continues her design journey of managing world-renowned label NEJ, which she introduced in 2002.
Believing that design is a long journey, the relationship between her designs and natural fibers, forms that fit ergonomics and the contradiction between old and new are the main factors that make her design special. With the aim of making ecological life more valuable and making the world a better place by solving the mystery of “origins”, she travels in time with what is natural, what comes from the nature. The main philosophy in NEJ Organic wear is to find out the beneficial, the beatuiful and the better materials that are available in the nature doğada and to use them in the designs.
She was entitled as the authorized design consultant at Turquality project as well as being the member of the Board of Directors of Fashion Designers Association and Board of Directors of Turkish Fashion and Ready-to-Wear Federation.

She was one of the two women selected from Turkey in “10.000” women entrepreneur project conducted by Goldman Sachs, Harvard University and University of Pennsylvania in 2010 and was also a finalist at “Turkey’s Woman Entrepreneur” competition under the “Most Promising Woman Entrepreneur” category in 2011 conducted by Garanti Bankası, The Economist and Women Entrepreneurs Association of Turkey.

As of 2006, Paris Pret a Porter , Tokyo I.F.F., Tokyo Weaready, Berlin Premium, Istanbul Fashion Week are among the national and international organizations she attended.
