Born in 1970 in Istanbul, Cigdem Akin noticed her intention to fashion when she was in secondary school.She has been a designer in the professional Fashion world for 24 years. After being in the design team of Vakko for many years,In 2004 she Created “Cigdem Akin” brand with her own name.

“Cigdem Akin” is sold in boutiques all around the world mainly in the USA, most European countries and Middle East. In Istanbul Cigdem Akin has two stores in Galata and Nisantasi. “Cigdem Akin” has been participating in Pret a Porter Paris since 2006 and also. In 2009 The brand took a place in Moda Manhatten in the USA. Cigdem Akin’s collection are being showcased in Istanbul Fashion Week.
