Her career in fashion industry began in Vakko. Starting from 1992, she presented her collections in the fashion capitals of the world such as Duesseldorf, Paris and New York and she won many prestigious local and international awards with her designs. She was a part of the Premier Vision Fair with her 2000-2001 winter collection; being the very first Turkish designer to be a part of the Premier Vision Fair. Along with her own brand, she worked as a style consultant for Turkish celebrities. She was the first fashion designer to be chosen as a board member of TGSD (Turkish Clothing Manufacturers Association). She was also chosen as the founding head of Turkey's first non governmental, fashion related organization MTD (Fashion Designers Association).
Feeding her designs with her personal beliefs and thoughts, Bahar Korçan continues her fashion journey in her boutique in Galata which opened its doors in 2009.
